19th Century American Casino Buildings

Many of the building labeled casinos in the late 19th Century / early 20th Century are basically large rooms to hold dances, party's and such. Many had nothing to do with gambling.

Here is a definition
in Italy, a small country house
a public room or building for entertainments, dancing, or, now specif., gambling

Below is a ebay search in Postcards for Casino - many are non gambling buildings from the turn of the last century.
