My Use Of "Rare"
In Response To: Re: eBay What am I missing here? ()

Being a fishing lure collector for my entire life, I have learned the only time I use the word "RARE" is when I order a steak. Otherwise, there will be hundreds out there who could prove you wrong. And, as an EBAY seller, listing for .99-cents slides under the beginning listing fee rates, and is done because bidders look at your feedback rating; having a good idea of your performance as a seller. Sometimes, it makes good sense to begin at .99-cents in some categories. That's why EBAY changed the "collectibles" to almost free listings, knowing they would make up their lost revenue on the "final sales price" which is a percentage of the total sale price. That's my one penny shy of a dollar opinion.

My Use Of "Rare"
What we need are eBay service charges
Everything on eBay is "RARE" to some listers.
