Free Online Storage DropBox
In Response To: computer help needed ()

Here's another answer and you don't need anything but a computer and your free account.

Dropbox that a friend sent me a link for, so I could send him some imaging. When you use my referral link, I get 250MB more added to the free 2GB. Then you get 250MB free and for every new person you get, it's another 250GB up to 8GB total, free, cloud web storage. I think that's pretty cool for transfering files or saving some utility information that can be accessed from anywhere in the world?

Here's my link which will give me the 250MB bonus. I am now at 6.5GB of the allowed free 8GB total.

It involves downloading the software and installing it, and there's tutorial. That's it. Help files are created when you make the first folder.

Point is all your computers are synced with the same data, which is stored free on their server. You can also use a public box to send file attachments, instead of actually attaching them. Lets say you want to send a big file to someone. Many time file attachment take time and some are a problem. You put it on your public dropbox, which creates a link, and you send someone the link. It's only public in that you know what it is and can send it. It's not shared with the world.

Want to send the same file to ten people? Put it in your dropbox, send all ten people the link - they download it. Easy?
