I finally decided how to solve the problem of printing several huindred pages of scans of my collection every year for the convention. I decided not to get an Ipad since Cindy's laptop died and we needed another one anyway. So Wally World had an Acer netbook on sale for $200 this weekend and I got one today. So now instead of printing hundreds of pages I can just look at the scan on the netbook.

I now have two questions about it. Is there a good way to get MS Office off my old cd disc and into the new machine? It does not have a CD drive and I think that there has to be a way to load the disc into another computer and transfer it to the new computer. I just don't know how to do this. Any hints?

Also when I use this at the convention I would like instant access to the scans but with Win 7 every time you close the cover the computer goes to sleep and when you reopen it you have to wake it up and relog in. Any way to change that setting so the computer stays on - at least for a little while? Is there a way to avoid logging in every time?
