One thing I forgot to mention.

I would highly sugggest that everyone take a look at the Treasurers Report and Financials that are listed in EVERY issue of the magazine and online as well.

This will give a lot of people a better feel about our finances. I am amazed how many people think we have hundreds of thousands sitting in our accounts waiting to be spent.

What I wanted to point out is that this may very well be the best way to spend $4,000.

However some people feel it would be better spent on advertising the convention in local newspapers, magazines, thru coupons, or even free admissions.

What we need to decide is what gets us the best bang for the buck.

While I do agree that thwe ANA is something we want to go after, I can tell you from personal experience that I have not had much luck there.

Our local club set up a table at the Money show in Houston and tried to get people interested in chips. Not one person joined our club or even came to a meeting after spending 3 full days at the show.

I know we have had tables at the ANA conventions in the past and handed out membership applications. I am not sure we had much of a response there either.

All I am saying is that, before we jump the gun and spend a bunch of money, lets explore all the options.

Thanks again,
Doug
