I never knew the gentleman, but his name was James "jimmy" Johnston and he gambled and ran various types of solo operations in the Portland area. He was born around 1910 and died here in Portland around 2000. Of natural causes.

Yesterdays there was a UFC R chip diamond mold being sold with some Ky chips here on the board. I been talking with a ebay seller who bought a bunch of chips from the estate of Mr. Johnston in OR. Most were OK Club chips, but there were many of those R chips also. Possible connection to KY? Possible connection to Mr. Johnston?
