Not to go off on a tangent but a great book though dated, is a book called Wheels which dealt with the Auto industry. It would be great reading for anyone to gain a bit of insight what happens behind the scenes

There is no question that American car makers now turn out a quality product. Do they still have some steps to go? The answer to that is yes but they are well on the way
It's only unfortunate that we had to get the wake up call from the Japanese before we concerned ourselves more with quality rather than sex appeal.

The real sad part is that we have lost several generations into believing that Americans don't know how to build quality automobiles anymore. It will be a long road back
