Last night I went to the Venetian to get some new one dollar chips along with the 2 dollar chips. I parked and went to the poker cage where they sold me as many 2 dollar chips as I wanted. I bought a rack of one dollar chips and continued my search for the elusive Palazzo chips. I went through 8 racks and only found one. I mentioned what I was looking for and even tipped for my constant bother of can I have another rack. The cashier looked and then told me to try the main cage. I purchased several more racks and could only find another one or two Palazzo chips. I was told they only made 2000 of them.
I then walked over to the Palazzo and had no luck at their cage. I went to the Big Wheel and bought in with 20 dollars to stand there and watch

I asked several dealers at empty tables if they had any of the new chips. Some said there are no new chips and I showed them the one I had and they said it was the first time they had seen it. Some dealers looked through their racks and still not finding any.

After searching more racks at both the Venetian and Palazzo I was short just one chip for the few people who asked me to get them one. I was about to give up and give what I had to these friends and not keep one for myself. Back at the Venetian poker cage I was talking to a cashier and told her how I needed just one more chip and she searched the cabinet until she found me one. Again a toke was in order.

I spent between 2-3 hours trying to find these chips. It is one of the most difficult chips I ever tried to get. Especially for a house chip.
