That is because some who did not know they had a flush decided to not play anymore. vbg But, I don't know if I can keep busting your chops about it. I watched Phil Ivey do it during the WSOP on TV when they were down to about 5 tables. He had a pair of 8's with one being a spade. There were 4 spades on the board. Ivey & the other guy both checked it after the river. The other guy had two pair & Ivey mucked his winning hand! rofl Cost him about $2.8 million in chips.
