I can confirm that the nail polish helps a lot on crystallizing dice. Best to do just one side at a time, then let it dry for a few hours before doing another side.

If the dice are imploding and have the 'vinegar syndrome' (they will smell like vinegar), the nail polish trick won't work...they'll just get sticky and will never dry . If they DO smell like vinegar, keep 'em away from 'healthy' dice...the vapors/gas/fumes/whatever-it-is they emit can affect other dice that are near them.

Here's some that are 'imploding'. See how the sides are caved in? Sometimes when this happens, their spots will pop out!
