Who was it that once said the first thing we need to do is kill all the lawyers?

Isn't it amazing that one moment passengers on the plane are happy just to be alive, to have survived as close a brush with death as is possible and the next moment they lunge for the throat to cash in.

Certainly this wasn't planned and might even be close to be calling an act of God.
I agree there should be some form of compensation, air fare, lost luggage, etc but like you said, before this is over, I'm sure not only millions will change hands (most going to the lawyers i'm sure)but all the heroism of the pilot will be forgotten when the court dates near. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he is somehow implicated in not avoiding the birds (geese?) etc.

Sigh....this is America at it's worst MONEY MONEY MONEY
