No disrespect meant to your wife as I am sure there are plenty of decent hardworking people at the post office.
However putting up with BS is not an excuse either. Please name a job where we dont have to put up with BS. I deal with BS you wouldnt believe every single day and I am sure you do as well.
Bottom line is people should either do the job that is expected or go into another line of work.
When I mail a package to someone and pay the fees to have it insured, priority and with delivery confirmation, I EXPECT it to be delivered to someones door and not for a postal carrier to decide that they dont have the time or the energy to get out of the truck and walk the 30 feet to someones doorstep.
I am not asking someone to wade thru a raging river or fight wild animals to get to my door. I do however expect them to do what we expect them to do which is DELIVER THE MAIL !!!!!!!
Incompetence is unacceptable at most jobs, it should be unacceptable for Postal Carriers as well.
By the way, the reason that I use the USPS is that they advertise that they CAN deliver my mail for the fees that they charge. If in fact they cannot, they should let people know and those people can then make an alternate choice for delivery.
Just my humble opinion.
