A lot of the casinos used to give you free gifts, to get you in the door. The smart ones would make the gift something that would take a little time, hoping that you'd wait for the gift and play while waiting...Nevada Club did personalized key chains and matchbooks, so did the Fortune Club (next door, same owners); Lady Luck, Horseshoe and Nevada Club all did souvenir photos...in 2000 Mermaids, downtown Las Vegas, was doing souvenir photos "this will be ready in about 20 minutes m'aam ".

Value? Not a lot... I think we paid about $12 for our Bird Cage like yours, probably not much more than $5-$7 or thereabouts for the Nevada Club ones.
