I certainly thought it is wrong to turn ivory blanks into antiques.

Two things I said in the past that went nowhere:
¶ Long ago I suggested on chip boards that the club join a group that wanted to strengthen the hobby protection act and extend it to areas other than coins. That idea went nowhere.
¶ Recently I made a post on an eBay discussion board that the sale of reprints of genuine lobby cards (reproductions) be either banned on eBay or else that such cards be stamped on the back that they are reprints. I was incredulous that not one person who posted on the thread agreed with me. They treated me as though I was a crybaby. Some said that any collector of lobby cards should know what is a reproduction of not -- a silly statement. Here are links, by the way, to some of my gambling theme movie lobby cards:
