Never say never Jim

I’ve talked to a couple of Laser Engineers over the last couple of years. A Laser could vaporize the Lucite but not damage the chips using a similar technology as removing a tattoo using a dye pulse laser.

This is not a cheap technology and if the technology was completely successful it would cost $100 - $200 per chip (if this technique could be done in a production environment).

I have never tested the technology but in theory it should work.
