No, but there are plenty of M-O-P chips ...

... that have made their way up from South America that are "reworked" older French chips where the original work in the field has been routered-down; leaving the rim in full, original thickness (similar to a current BG jeton)... while still exhibiting a serial number in some cases, either partially shaved-away (crudely) of sanded-down. In some cases you can even see a trace of the "F" or "Fr" (French franc) in the field.

These pieces were legal casino chips (twice grin ), originally, and legal casino chips after being reworked. They were not made to dupe anyone.

Some of the larger M-O-P plaques from down there are quite rare (probably because of breakage) and I've even seen both original M-O-P casino plaques and reworked M-O-P casino plaques from the same original lot, side by side, but they were French. The practice was commom in the Paris houses and to the north (Dieppe)... or I guess anywhere in France.
