That is not correct. Most conventions are that way. The convention for my business costs about $450 per person for registration alone each year. It costs a couple hundred bucks more per person if you do not stay at the convention hotel. It has always been that way. I've always been amazed at how cheap it is to attend the CCGTCC convention each year.
