Seeing that I am working right beside the casino I have been paying attention to the work going on. The work has already started on the outside and inside of the tower. They have big trash dumpsters on the side Valet and they are filling them w/ carpet, furniture, and tons of other crap that was ruined, I'm guessing when the sprinklers went off...

Our trailer sits out by the rear Valet and entrance at the MC. Y'day I was in the trailer and saw busloads of temp laborers getting hauled in to the job. Looked like about 300 homeless and illegals from every street corner and Home Depot in Nevada! Told myself, I NEED my camera . Most were back today and they had different color hardhats for I guess the floor they were working on. Also, seemed kinda strange that there are several cop cars out back and on Rue MC Road. Maybe they are there to keep the stuff in the casino when the day laborers leave??

My Business Agent called today and said that one of our Union Shops had the Electrical on the redo. He said it would be for a week or so. We also heard on the job today, that contractors were working 7-16's on the job!!! WOOOOOOO!!! It should be a fast turn-around because the MC is losing tons of $$ everyday it isn't open.

The news said tonite that the MC was still putting their guests up at different MGM Resorts this week. They didn't say anything about next week..
