Peter, we basically agree on one thing--that is to allow more people to immigrate (although I do think limits of some sort should apply.) I don't think it is in our interest to allow too many people of one country or culture to dominate the population. Diversification of cultures are necessary.

However, we must know who these people are, where they can be located, make sure they pass a medical check, verify their background, make sure they are not terrorist and lastly, make sure they have sponsors who will help support them until they get on their feet. And oh yes, wait there turn so everyone has an equal opportunity to immigrate. In other words, see to it that they are here legally and not getting in front of the line by sneaking in.

I care less if it is a felony or misdemeanor. There committing a crime. Every county in the world wants secure borders. Why should we be different?
