Definition of "Limited Edition"

Let's face it, anything less than "unlimited or infinite" is the new definition of limited. Anything no longer made is also limited, limited to the number made. Just about any product imaginable is a limited edition, limited to as many as they can possibly manufacture and sell. For me personally if there isn't a published number, or preferably a number attached to the product, that is small enough that it probably won't meet the demand, it's NOT limited.

For example, if a casino puts out a LE chip with an issue of 10,000 chips and only 5,000 people each want one, that's an artificial limit. If they put the same chip out with only 3,000 made, that's a real LE, since demand exceeds supply.

Just my humble opinion.

A true limited edition chip is 500 or less!
I kind of agree, sort of, but ...
"500 or less?" Says who?
