My wife was mentioning the fact that at their small office they keep going through fax machines. They buy cheaper machines and when they start hearing static on the fax line they know it's time to get a new one. I know nothing about fax machines, but does this make sense? I would think the rollers and mechanical parts would be the first things to malfunction, but that's why I'm asking. (And yes, I DID recommend they spend a bit more to get one that would last)
