I just called the pro shop at the Racquet Club, Chicago. Some bloke that sounds like he is from Spragg's neck of the woods told me that the 2 racquets are for "real tennis" (an inside sport, the ancestor of modern lawn tennis) and racquets or "hard racquets" (distinguished from squash or squash racquets).

Now if anyone knows what I just said could you 'splain it to me!!!

BTW, did anyone notice that Jim was outbid for a c&s today on ebay ($406 to $401) for the chip below:
