In most cases you'll get obsolete chips along with a lot of free gifts.

I started in 1991, and contacted virtually every casino in the world. Did it for about 4 years. I had actual street addresses and directors' names which helped. In many cases I included a self addressed packet. South Africa; Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain were the most collector freindly. I've been mentioning this to some collectors for quite some time... even made several posts as well.

In the US, I found Reno and Lake Tahoe casinos cooperating, and in the Caribbean; the Dutch West Indies... especially Aruba where most all obsolete material was still in storage (see archives: Bob Ginsburg-Florida Bob).

I never included more than 2 or 3-bucks (new bills ) to those casinos that I knew would respond and I wore out the words "please" and "thank you" in my letters. With the majority of the casinos I asked if I can purchase along with mentioning I would send payment if it was ok with them. Most replied: "It is our pleasure to be able to help complete your collection...."

Several of the employees in Europe vacationed in Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando at that time... and that came in handy...
