A mold-a-rama is . . .
In Response To: I blame the "cute" children ()

A toymaking machine that makes a molded plastic toy before your eyes. They were made famous at the 1964 World's Fair when Sinclair had a dinosaur exhibition and you could make a souvenir - I think it was 10 cents at the time. When Sinclair took its dinosaurs on a cross-county tour after the fair, the machines came along.

The two museums I mentioned still have molds made for changing exhibits. At the Henry Ford Museum, you can get the Rosa Parks bus or the Oscan Meier Weinermobile. We also have Lincoln's head; steam trains; space shuttle; the U-boat in Chicago; animals; dinosaurs; all kinds of neaties.

Here's a link to one website dedicated to these toys: http://www.moldaramaville.com/
