Douglas Saito auctions

Doug runs chip auctions regularly now; probably THE best place to sell your scarce chips and get maximum visibility of motivated collectors. He usually advertises, or at least mentions auction schedules on this Board. Illustrated catalogs are mailed, and you can bid in advance or show up and bid live. TyrusM calls most of these live auctions. If you bid by fax or mail and are out-bid, you have the option to be called during the live auction to advance your bid.

There is a charge for the catalogs, but well worth it if you try to keep up with chip values. If you bid, you also get prices-realized lists, and I believe most of the recent auctions have made high-bids available on-line before the live event.

For those who don't know, Doug Saito also publishes ChipChat, a subscription newsletter with lots of older chip history, and also with mail-auctions and individual sales of the chips discussed in each issue.

Below is an scan of the cover of a recent auction catalog that had 90 lots, as an example.
