What you hear on the news is just a tiny part of the real problems here in Las Vegas. Like I said our Mayor is able to keep 90% of the crime, etc. out of the national news for fear of tourism cuts, etc. It is not a place to raise a family. The schools are overcrowded, 80% of the kids in the schools are non-white and uncontrolable, the teachers are leaving in droves because of this and other factors. In fact, whites are now a minority in Las Vegas, the white children have a very hard time here.
When you visit LV, watch your back and watch your wallet, pickpockets in crowds of people are getting commonplace here, again you do not hear of this in the national news, only the locals know of the real problems here. The traffic is horrendous because of all the growth over the last 10 years and the lack of funding for new roads, improvements, etc. I do not go to the Strip anymore because of the hassle getting there from the outskirts with the traffic, etc. I would advise you to tell your daughter to think really hard if she wants to put her family thru these daily rigors.
