Greg, if you're a gambling man you might try this... Early this year a friend told me about the Phillips website where they sell reconditioned plasma TV's. I was sceptical about it but I went ahead and ordered a 42" Plasma. Including shipping it was it was $833.00! I thought it was a helluva deal at the time (Feb of this year). Heck I don't know about prices now as that was seven months ago...

Like I said, it was a gamble and not that crazy about getting a reconditioned unit but I was looking for something cheap to go into another room at our house. Looks like they have a similar 42" Plamsa TV to the one we bought but not quite the same. It's still $799 with $29.99 shipping. They delivered it using a "white glove" type shipper (not UPS). They brought it in, carried to the room and un-boxed it. We were really pleased... They have other TV's if you're looking for something larger. Link below to that site:
