There are of course several casinos that offer poker tourneys - Westcliff, Victoria (Nottingham), the old Gala Russell Square (when it was Ladbrokes - used to play every Friday pre-family!) - the Russell Square did used to take a rake sometimes, but as a tourney player I never took much notice! I think the difference with the new poker room compared to the Loose Cannon (by the way, do you have any chips from there) and the Gutshot, is that this is a walk-in, no membership place in line with the new gaming rules that let places like pubs run small value games now - it will be interesting to see if any of them have chips produced with location names! Even Colchester had a poker club but it only ran for about a year and closed last year - it never looked very inviting and I never went inside!!!
