thanks, interesting to know. I used a label I made at an Automated Postal Center at the post office; I made it myself there (on the post office's equipment) and used a credit card to pay for it. Since I didn't use the post offices new black label (which indicates it is insured for under $200), the postal insurance bar codes/insurance numbers were printed on the label. ..... ..... ....... I wonder if I could have put the new black label info on the parcel, the postman would have known that it was under $200, and he wouldn't have asked for you to sign???

Maybe I should just use "delivery confirmation" on relatively inexpensive stuff? I'll ask a postal letter carrier these questions.
