Hi All,
Can someone please straighten me out on a few things that I'm not 100% clear on yet. First, can someone please explain to me the difference between NCV and Free Play? When would each be used? Also, when did NCV chips begin? I don't seem to see any older than the 80s, is this when they started or am I just missing the older ones?

I would like to educate myself more on the different chip manufactures. I see alot of talk about certain chips being manufactured by this company and that company and I know the names from reading here but I'm a bit confused about the history and the importance of certain companies. Where can I go to read more about this topic?
