Re: NCR: Limo Services-Las Vegas

Going to Orleans and usually use their free shuttle services to Gold Coast and the Strip, depending on where we want to go. We usually venture out for the day and stay in one general area for the time that we are out. Therefore there isn't a lot of running around back and forth. Shuttles usually get us almost everywhere we have wanted to go.

Gold Coast to Palms is a breeze. To RIO, ??? I would rather take a cab rather than walk accross the parking lot and take my life in my hands crossing the street there. Going up to a light and then back to the entry to RIO is a lot further than many people think. We Haven't tried the Monorail yet but may do that if we are going to one end of the strip or the other. Usually, we get a few other people together to go downtown one night and will split Taxis from time to time. One night we usually do MGM and the MM Store etc... For that we either shuttle it to Barbary (Now Bills) or take a cab to MGM and hit Fat Tuesdays while we are there and cab back to Orleans. We are all getting a bit older and, well, heavier in some cases, and the walking is getting to be a little bit much for some of us. Especially when the heat is upward of 115 it can wear some of us down and inflame some tempers. Going about 5 ways a cab is usually not bad.

Down side is when we have so many people where we need an SUV or minivan. There always seems to be a regular sedan next in the Taxi Line and we usually have to wait for them to call in a larger vehicle.

I thought about cabs from the airport but forgot to ask about that and the comparative cost.

Renting a car might be a little overkill. Although it would allow us to venture a little further out and see more. Our trips are usually somewhat short and taken up by planned activities around a bowling tournement. Sometime though, I would like to head out to Valley of Fire or Redrock Canyon and a car would be great.

For now though it is pretty much the strip and other near strip or downtown areas and using cabs and shuttles. Oh, I should also check the cost of the monorail for going from one end of the strip to the other.
