An American single zero table looks and plays the same as a European table. I've seen this type of table at The Venetian, and I assume it is the same type of table used at the Monte Carlo, and other Las Vegas casinos that have single zero tables.

A French table (this example is similar to what was at the Paris) is a different layout, allows for different bets (called bets like neighbors, sections and orphans), and has the en prison rule in effect.
