For me it depends. I send out at least 200 chips a month and I haven't had a problem in 3 or 4 months. I spoke to some postal employees and they say that most don't care but there are a select few areas around the country that feel a need to stick to a ridiculous rule. Southern California is apparently the worst culprit in this regard.
