I have played craps less than 20 years, and many years where I didn't play at all, and have seen at least 3 rolls over 45 minutes long. I have certainly seen many terrible rolls when the shooter carefully set up the dice before each roll and threw with a similar motion. I don't remember too many people throwing the dice so they don't spin, and none that hit the same part of the table and softly tapped the back wall without separating.
