When playing craps ...
In Response To: Re: Dice Setting ()

players are always told to hit the back of the table with the dice. If you notice, the padding on the walls of a craps table have a bumpy, geometric pattern. The purpose of this is so that when dice hit up against the wall it will fall back to the table in a random pattern.

I assume that when told that you can't place the dice, what they are saying is that when you throw the dice make sure you it the wall of the table.
