Dice Control (long post)

Players have been setting the dice for as long as they have been playing the game. If the pit personel are doing their job it has 0% effect on the roll. Several years ago an author named Frank Scoblete wrote a book on dice control. His system, The Golden Touch, was highly publisized since he is a contributor to Casino Player and other gambling magazines. I got a call from a client telling me the system works and her casino had been beaten by a crew using this method. I looked at the tapes, the pit was not doing their job, At times, only one dice at the most was hiting the wall. It wasn't long before we got another call. Since my Father had told me about a group of crossroaders who were practicioners of what was called The Greek Roll and how it worked, I knew people could do very hard things with dice if they practiced enough. These guys worked in the late '40's and I doubted they were still around. We got a break when we found out there was a group who were actually selling this system and holding classes. Of course we signed up when they came to Tunica. They made a big deal of it, super secret, would only give the location after they checked us out to make sure we weren't from a gaming company, Griffin, etc. I used my false name, they took my money and I'm sure they didn't check anything. The class was a joke. After teaching the technique we were told many stories about their successes. Remember craps is a very close game, if you play long enough or watch long enough, you are going to see some good rolls. We were told to practice, practice, and keep practicing and we too could make the casinos are personal bank. The bottom line is craps is a negative expectation game. If the casino is enforcing the rules and the equipment is legitimate the game can not be beaten. When both dice hit the egg crate wall, physics dictate a totally random roll. If you become proficient at sliding the dice you can win(I have seen some very good teams). But with any cheating technique, casino procedures have to be violated. Any casino that posts a rule that you can't set the dice is being run by amatuers. Hope this info which is free to Chipboard readers helps grin . Jim
