I don't believe Harrahs had property on the west side of the highway till they bought Harveys a few years ago. Harveys is the tower with the wheel and skull sign.

I can remember a couple of motels on the California side where the empty lot is in your postcard. I believe it was late 60's or early 70's when they were demolished.
