I don't dispute that a majority of folks based their views on first impressions. I'm saying, that I prefer to base my evaluation on better criteria.

If I have a software company, and am hiring a new college grad (likely since the top programmers are young) then I would much rather have somebody who has a 4.00 gpa and spikes, then a 2.0 gpa with a nice appearance.
