Really having a full name doesn't mean anything

Mike, I don't know how long you've been hanging out here on the chipboard. But it hasn't been too long ago that there was a "club member" posting here with their real name (supposedly) AND club number that took a bunch of people for a ride including me! (Search the archives for Bryson)

Like I said earlier, I personally don't care if people post with an assumed name, first name and last initial, or whatever. That is for Greg to decide how it should be, it's his board. BUT I have to laugh when I see someone busting some new guys chops for not posting with their full name and club number AND THEY'RE DOING THE SAME DARN THING! "What's good for the goose is good for the gander" as my dearly departed granny used to say.

The majority of us here pretty well have it figured out who is who (but wait, who is this splashbar guy and bus driver guy vbg vbg ), but not everyone has it figured out, especially new folks. And if we're calling the new folks out for not using proper chipboard posting etiquette but there are regulars who do it on a daily basis, don't you think we're being a little on the hypocritical side? Should there be a double standard?

Regards
Bill
