Thanks Michael and I will take your advice but I do not think it will help. I use Robert's web site daily as my trusted guide. I should know by now that he has probably spent hours researching this chip mold only to hit dead ends.
Robert has helped me with research on other chips and I respect and admire his expertice. He has been very helpful and I very thankful.
I was thinking that the Blimp chip mold dated 1931 might be a new lead. The marketing concept of advertising on poker chips in the 1930's has me wondering if this traveling salesman went home on weekends and spent hours in his garage mixing shelac and clay to press out this chip with this simple chip mold. He was a successful salesman to have accounts with Harley Davison, Goodyear, and I am curious to know how many others. It also is facinating to me that during prohibition, major brand names were willing to attach thier logo to a product that was illegal. To me it is a statement of how popular poker and the speakeasy were at that time.
Thanks for your response Michael.
