True Story

Several years ago, a Canadian was cited for speeding(I think he was doing 85mph) in the Lake George, NY region. When he appeared before the Warren Co. judge, trying to snow the judge, he claimed that he thought the 65mph was 65kph and he didn't realize he was speeding. The judge knew that 65kph was close to 40 mph. If I remember this right, the judge gave the driver a normal fine for speeding, but added a few hundred dollars for contempt of court. rofl
