Re: I have one
In Response To: I have one ()

That's what I thought, I was playing with one at Staples today and toying with buying it as a travel scanner. But looking at the specs again on the box I wasn't convinced it would be good for anything other than photos or paper.

A few years ago I tried another similar one. I toyed with the HP photo scanner 1000. It was the perfect form factor for travelling and taking scans of chips. Problem was it wasn't near enough resolution. The software sucked, but that could have been taken care of. http://www.amazon.com/HP-Photo-Scanner-1000-C9907A/dp/B00005NQ9Y

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your PPOV) with the advent of digital photo technology stuff like this is pretty much going away -- you can take a photo onto a media card, take it to Walmart, CVS -- or even online (or with a home photo printer, but I don't do enough photography to warrant getting one), and get prints made pretty inexpensively.
