NCR, BankNote of the Day.....

Tonight’s Selection is a Commemorative issue from down under in Australia. It is a 1988 Bicentennial of British Settlement 10 Dollar note. The note is made of polymer and printed by NPA. The silver image of Captain Cook in the OVD (window) in the upper right is an impressive 3D Hologram. The front depicts colonists across the background; Cooks ship Supply at lower right shoreline. The back features an aboriginal youth, rock painting and a ceremonial Morning Star Pole at center. The notes with the prefix AA in the serial numbers were issued in a commemorative folder for collectors. It carries a book value of $25 in UNC condition. This note is a little more ‘eye pleasing’ than the German Forgery I last posted, but does not have the rich history. ENJOY!
