I dont regard these as counterfeits

as while they are for casinos that existed, they are not similar to any issued design.
I think they were 'prototypes' for his commemorative chips. I guess he figured they were not good enough grin

When I said they were all NV & DiCd Molds I was of course referring to the hot stamp dies in the picture, which is what Steve's question related to.

That said, as I pointed out, some of the hot stamps on those boxes never existed on either mold, but did, for example, exist on hat & cane.

Do you know if BJ ever supplied hot stamp hat & canes? If he did, Borland may even have had h&c blanks. Im speculating nuttin' vbg
