Opinions needed

I was asked this question by a friend and was just wondering what others thought. Last week as he was looking at my collection(which consists of mainly $5 LE's and silver strikes) His question was... "would'nt a chip with a limted run of say 500 or less chips be more valuable than chips with runs of 1000+?" After discussing the price guides and supply and demand etc
We came to the conclusion... I dunno really grin
I have often wondered what drives collectors to choose one limited edition over another.
So what's your reason?

It depends on the type of $5 limited editions.
