"Eight Days a Week"

(from the whatever it's worth department...that was my bd song grin)
but anyway....26 August 1939 was when covert ops began; it was Hitler's planned original invasion date, which was put off by the Anglo-Polish pact. German soldiers in Polish uniforms then staged a takeover of a German radio station...thus giving the Germans a "reason."
And the rest, as they say, is...history.
