I have also only recently sent in my application for the club, and don't have a number yet, but have posted a coupla times already (primarily on the hooters threads *eg*).
I have been collecting chips for around a decade, though not at any significant level. I have a total of about only 50 chips or so. I tend to collect the ones somehow related to my life so far - - which means mostly casinos that I have been in at some point in time, or walked past, or are just the older Vegas classics. ;) This means my main chip interest is casino table chips from Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Vegas. I live in Burbank, CA, and travel to Vegas each year at LEAST for the PBR Finals, and the NFR - - but also make 2-5 treks there during other times of the year. I probably will never get into the "mainstream" of heavy-duty collecting (my wife would kill me ;) ) but am enjoying it where the chips have a personal meaning to me. I suppose the kids will get richer from my current collection someday after I am dust:)
