I'm a big fan of NEC monitors...always have been. Last NEC I had (actually still have it) is about 15 years old. Finally decided to upgrade last year.. ...so when I bought my new computer, had to have a new NEC...got one of those expensive flat screen LCD jobs. Cost a little over $400. When I bought it, they brought out the "closer" to sell me the extended warranty. I said, "Oh..I don't think I'll need that..I've had my current NEC for about 15 yrs...I don't think I'll need that." (Bet you can guess where this is going...

About a month before the manufacturer warranty ran out..monitor quit working...wouldn't turn on. Called NEC, they said send it to them..I did..they fixed it..sent it back. About 2 months later...same thing happend...luckily, NEC was as surprised as I was that it had quit twice. So they fixed it again for free. So far so good...but I am nervous!

I guess if worse comes to worse...I can hook up old faithful!
