I think they might be able to think about licensing poker rooms throughout the state. There would probably be a big interest in this. Imagine bringing events like WSOP or WPT events to Illinois. Of course the stakes would have to be right in order to do this.

Riverboat gambling houses need to change with the times, clean up their images, do what they can to improve the communities they reside in. Alas, no easy way to do this. It's going to take someone with vision to make this work.

Gambling tax revenues shouldn't be the fix-all for our socieities state budget shortfalls but rather simply an enhancement.
