I'll agree with Stu ... up to a point. The burden for safe delivery is on the seller.

However, the point being ... after "losing" several packages, I no longer will send UN-insured for packages that are worth over $25, unless I know the buyer. Or if the recipient is one of my new issues subscribers, I'll usually send uninsured for under $50 value.
